Bay Area Walking Coaching
Finding time for coaching is hard. So is making time to move your body and get outside.
Walking coaching brings all three together in one powerful, protected block of time.
Walking sessions are part of my ongoing 1:1 coaching engagements. We bring whatever is current and take the work outside.
We might explore questions like:
Some walks are at sunrise and expansive. Some are during a lunchbreak and tactical. Some involve a lot of talking. Some leave room for quiet.
We bring what matters that day and work from there.

If you work in the city, a walking session may fit naturally into the workday.
We might meet near your office, use a longer lunch window, discover a new urban hike and find a fresh perspective to an old problem.
Walking sessions are also possible in Marin when location and scheduling work for both of us.
You don’t have to choose between walking and virtual coaching.
We might walk one session and meet virtually for the next. The format can flex with your schedule, geography, goals, and what the work needs.
Remote clients can also make sessions walk-and-talks. Bring your headphones, step outside, and take the conversation with you.
Walking coaching can mean a gentle stroll.
The coaching is the point. Movement and the outdoors shape the setting.
If weather or circumstances interfere with a planned walk, we can change the format.
Walking Coaching is part of the same ongoing coaching relationship described on the Work Together page.
Organizations can sponsor coaching through professional development or leadership-development budgets, and I can coordinate contracting and invoicing directly. Self-pay coaching is also available. Let’s get moving, together.
“I’ve turned to Sonya for coaching for years when I’m feeling stuck or facing a difficult decision. She doesn’t hand me an answer. She helps me slow down, pay attention to my deeper knowing, sort through what’s in front of me, and experiment with what might be possible. I leave our sessions feeling lighter, clearer, and more grounded in my own judgment. I have more confidence in what I want to do next and more freedom in how I move forward.”R. Van Donk, Chief Philanthropy Officer, California
We’ll talk about what’s in front of you, the support you’re looking for, and whether working together makes sense.
